Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take communion with you?
The Lord’s Supper is joyously celebrated in the confidence of receiving from the Lord of the Church all He promises when He gives us His very body and blood in, with, and under the bread and wine. With such a celebration goes the pastoral concern that each worshiper examine himself before partaking of the Lord’s Supper. Those who are baptized, truly repent of their sins, believe in Jesus as their Savior, confess His real presence in the Sacrament, and are in peace and communion with His Holy Church, are invited to celebrate the grace of God and commune. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first, and third weeks of each month in both services.
What do I wear to worship?
Come just as you are. Members of Immanuel dress traditionally (Sunday's best), casually (office attire) and comfortably (shorts). What ever your style, you are welcome here!
What if I have noisy little ones during worship?
We encourage children to join in the worship experience. There is a staffed nursery available for infants and toddlers (children 4 years old or younger) if your child cannot be consoled or is too wiggly to allow those around your to worship. Near the back of the church there are BUSY BAGS that can be borrowed for younger children.
How do I join?
We invite all those considering membership to attend an enriching Bible Study called “Christianity 101.” You are under no obligation to join our church if you attend this Bible Study, but those who wish to become members may do so at the conclusion of the class. Call the church office for class schedule.
